Small Ship Cruising

Small ships can fall into two different categories: River Cruise ships and Ocean-going small ships that have less than 900 passengers.

River Cruise ships (40 – 200 passengers) and can be found on the rivers in Europe, China, Egypt and Southeast Asia. Kate DeLosso Travel works with:

-Avalon Waterways
-AMA Waterways
-Uniworld River Cruises

Small ocean-going ships can hold 100 – 850 passengers and provide the passenger with a completely different ambiance that the large ships. The difference between small and large ships is the level of service, entertainment on-board, less public space and small ships can get into the quieter out-of-the way ports where large ships cannot dock.

There is a large variation of the type of ship included in the small ship category:

-SeaDream (yacht-like cruising)
-Windstar  (mastered schooners)
-Regent Seven Seas
-Azamara Cruises
-Oceania Cruises

Kate DeLosso Travel can help you determine exactly which type of cruising would be best for you.
